after fashion panels, a killer after party, and some documentary work the next day, i got to do the job that was the real reason i had been brought to kona this past weekend. which was to provide still media coverage of the green fashion show at the NELHA facility outside of kona. the backlighting was challenging but it kept things interesting, it seems i never really shoot in situations that aren’t difficult in some way. i used a strobe locked in at 1/64th for a little fill lighting and blew the background out a little bit (i hated that blue truck!).
there were a whole bunch of designers showing their work, so many that i actually lost count. don’t remember the last time that happened. it was a cool show featuring a diverse blend of designers, looks, and genres. hey, not bad for a days’ work….
