on friday, i spent my evening in chinatown. i started down on chaplain lane at the outdoor mercury rising concert series. it’s a great setting for a concert, with delicious food and live music by local band/spectacle haberdashery and family dinner. after that i was off to nextdoor to check out camera obscura before settling in for some great live art by homegirl extraordinaire carol tagawa, live music by tempo valley, and of course some slam poetry.

i was toting a new ringflash gizmo and took a bunch of closeup portraits. after all the hopping around it was off to liliha bakery with a few friends. ahhhh. i love summer nights, don’t you?
