the second official oahu show that the blue scholars put on at the loft went down a little over a week after the first one…and like the second one it was fresh.  i’ll avoid going into too much detail because i don’t want to sound repetitive, but i will say that a great group of friends and fans gathered for a night of amazing live hip hop.

the deadbeats started things out, followed by creed, bambu from LA, and the blue scholars.

the loft is consistently the most challenging venue i have to sling light in…its got great ambiance but all the things that make it so comfy for concertgoers and hangers outters makes it an extremely challenging place to use a strobe in (namely, the black ceiling).  you can’t have it all, i guess.  the lighting has gotten better there and this time around rather than fighting the conditions, i went with the flow and shot available light.  i liked the results.
