first friday, may 2010. lornnie louie brought an innovative, multimedia-intensive, dropshadows-created fashion show to the crowd at nextdoor. instead of the lingerie line she showed last year, this show featured multifunction couture.

i shot a few pre-show images for lornnie before heading over to take in the show at nextdoor.

at times, first fridays can get a bit tiresome for me.  i know its like the best day many of the bars in chinatown have all month, and i am glad it happens.  but really i’m not motivated to shoot ragers all the time, and once a month is sort of all the time to me these days.  what motivates me to really get out there and shoot during first fridays are creative showcases, like what lornnie did at nextdoor this month.  it was inspirational.
